PRESS RELEASE (31) DVSC LAUNCHES ITS YOUTH LED GRANT FOR 2021

[Please scroll down for Welsh]

Ruthin – 04 February 2021 - DVSC is delighted to launch its Youth Led Grant for 2021. A total of £6,200 is available to support a range of small volunteering projects and activities, led and carried out by young people which are based around six priority areas identified by Welsh Government.

Since the beginning of the Covid outbreak in March 2020 people of all ages have been affected by the sudden change to day to day life. For many young people this time has been incredibly hard with changes to social and education life. Here at DVSC we wish to continue with our support for projects that can help young people in our communities. Our aim is to continue to fund young people in the area who have bright ideas on how they wish to solve some of the key challenges facing young people at this challenging time.

Our Youth led Grants have been enabled by funding from the Welsh Government. The purpose of the grant is to enable youth led activity to contribute to six priority areas identified by the Welsh government which have the potential to make the greatest contribution to long-term prosperity and well-being within our young people.

These include early years, better mental health, housing, skills and employability, social care or decarbonisation. They are areas where it has been shown that earlier intervention and more seamless services can make a real difference to people’s lives. The Welsh Government wants to ensure that support and investment in volunteering is making a positive contribution to action in these priority areas.

“The projects that will be awarded funding will be those which have the potential to make the greatest contribution to long-term prosperity and wellbeing in the local area during this incredibly difficult time for the younger generation” Rhys Hughes, Enterprise & Learning Officer at DVSC explains. “Every application will be reviewed by an independent youth led panel, to make sure that young people themselves can judge if these applications will benefit people of their age.”

We are currently operating a rapid grant decision-making process with applications being considered on a rolling basis until funds are disbursed. Apply as soon as possible to ensure your initiative or project receives funding! You will hear from us within 14 days of submission if your application has been successful.

To apply for the grant, fill out DVSC’s online application here.

DATGANIAD I'R WASG (31) CGGSDd YN LANSIO EI GRANT DAN ARWEINIAD IEUENCTID 2021

Rhuthun - 04 Chwefror 2021 - Mae'n bleser gan CGGSDd lansio ei Grant dan Arweiniad Ieuenctid 2021. Mae cyfanswm o £6,200 ar gael i gefnogi ystod o brosiectau a gweithgareddau gwirfoddoli bach, dan arweiniad a chyflawnir gan bobl ifanc sydd wedi'u lleoli o amgylch chwe maes blaenoriaeth a nodwyd gan Lywodraeth Cymru.

Ers dechrau'r achosion o Cofid ym mis Mawrth 2020 mae pobl o bob oed wedi cael eu heffeithio gan y newid sydyn i fywyd dyddiol. I lawer o bobl ifanc mae'r amser hwn wedi bod yn anhygoel o galed gyda newidiadau i fywyd cymdeithasol ac addysg. Yma yn CGGSDd rydym am barhau gyda'n cefnogaeth i brosiectau a all helpu pobl ifanc yn ein cymunedau. Ein nod yw parhau i ariannu pobl ifanc yn yr ardal sydd â syniadau disglair ar sut mae nhw am ddatrys rhai o'r heriau allweddol sy'n wynebu pobl ifanc ar yr adeg heriol hon.

Mae ein Grantiau dan arweiniad Ieuenctid wedi'u galluogi trwy arian gan Lywodraeth Cymru. Pwrpas y grant yw galluogi gweithgaredd dan arweiniad ieuenctid i gyfrannu at chwe maes blaenoriaeth a nodwyd gan lywodraeth Cymru sydd â'r potensial i wneud y cyfraniad mwyaf at ffyniant a lles tymor hir o fewn ein pobl ifanc.

Mae'r rhain yn cynnwys blynyddoedd cynnar, gwell iechyd meddwl, tai, sgiliau a chyflogadwyedd, gofal cymdeithasol neu ddatgarboneiddio. Maent yn feysydd lle dangoswyd y gall ymyrraeth gynharach a gwasanaethau mwy di-dor wneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i fywydau pobl. Mae Llywodraeth Cymru eisiau sicrhau bod cefnogaeth a buddsoddiad mewn gwirfoddoli yn gwneud cyfraniad cadarnhaol at weithredu yn y meysydd blaenoriaeth hyn.

“Y prosiectau y dyfernir cyllid iddynt fydd y rhai sydd â’r potensial i wneud y cyfraniad mwyaf at ffyniant a lles tymor hir yn yr ardal leol yn ystod yr amser anhygoel o anodd hwn i’r genhedlaeth iau” eglura Rhys Hughes, Swyddog Menter a Dysgu yn CGGSDd . “Bydd pob cais yn cael ei adolygu gan banel annibynnol dan arweiniad ieuenctid, i sicrhau bod y bobl ifanc eu hunain yn gallu barnu a fydd y ceisiadau hyn o fudd i bobl eu hoedran.”

Ar hyn o bryd rydym yn gweithredu proses benderfynu grantiau cyflym gyda cheisiadau yn cael eu hystyried ar sail dreigl nes bod cronfeydd yn cael eu talu. Gwnewch gais cyn gynted â phosibl i sicrhau bod eich menter neu brosiect yn derbyn cyllid! Byddwch yn clywed gennym o fewn 14 diwrnod i'w gyflwyno os yw'ch cais wedi bod yn llwyddiannus.

I wneud cais am y grant, llenwch gais ar-lein CGGSDd yma.
