WE SUPPORT

INDIVIDUAL AND

COMMUNITY WELLBEING

Volunteering enhances individual and community wellbeing.

But the third sector contribution to wellbeing does not end there.

The sector has a crucial role to play in delivering people focussed, community led and innovative solutions and in enabling the public sector to deliver the goals and ambition of the Future Generations and Wellbeing Act and the Social Services and Wellbeing Act.

As the leadership body for the third sector in Denbighshire, DVSC wants to work with members and partners to build a movement for change. Working together we believe we can transform people’s lives.

We believe in putting people and communities in the lead and we want to empower people living and working in Denbighshire to be as healthy and active as they can be.

As part of this, we are asking our partners to share power and resources to empower the third sector to play its role in promoting wellbeing, supporting and delivering community led services and solutions so that individuals and communities can enhance their own wellbeing.

DVSC, like many of the voluntary and community groups and third sector organisations we represent, promotes and enhances individual and community wellbeing through the people focussed wellbeing services we offer.

We also offer services that can support our members and partners to work together to deliver wellbeing for all.

BECOME A SUPPORTER

Hello again … … today we have a small favour to ask. Volunteers, voluntary and community action and the third sector are at the heart of building more sustainable and resilient communities and we need them more than ever.

DVSC receives core funding from the Welsh Government but we need to raise more money so that we can continue to provide excellent sector support - whether you're a volunteer,  voluntary and community group or a third sector organisation.

We can provide a wealth of information and resources and we want to keep our services as accessible as we can, and to reach as many groups as we can.  So we think it’s fair to ask people who visit us often for their help - if they feel able to give it.

Our Sector Support service is resource intensive, but we are investing in it because we believe providing support to volunteers, voluntary and community groups, charities, social enterprises and community interest companies - has to be at the heart of what we do. If you like what we are about, and you want to help support it, our future would be much more secure.
