LEARNING AND TRAINING

DVSC provides a range of competitively priced and FREE training courses throughout the year and aims to meet the training needs of DVSC members, including local, regional and national voluntary organisations with a presence in Denbighshire covering our key service areas.

We work closely with North Wales CVCs and the Wales Council for Voluntary Action as part of sector development and upskilling, enabling community members to develop skills for the benefit of their volunteer involving organisations. And we also partner with a range of other organisations to bring you high quality affordable training.

We offer different rates for third sector organisations and public sector organisations.

We provide FREE learning and development opportunities for members and the public if we have secured funding through grants or subsidy for this from partners.

We also earn additional income by providing tailored training courses at the request of individual members or partners. Our small but impactful team have specific areas of expertise and we would be happy to discuss your training needs. We offer different rates for third sector organisations and public sector organisations.

Contact our friendly team at sectorsupport@dvsc.co.uk if you have a training need or If you wish to discuss partnering with us to provide high quality learning and training opportunities.

BECOME A SUPPORTER

Hello again … … today we have a small favour to ask. Volunteers, voluntary and community action and the third sector are at the heart of building more sustainable and resilient communities and we need them more than ever.

DVSC receives core funding from the Welsh Government but we need to raise more money so that we can continue to provide excellent sector support - whether you're a volunteer,  voluntary and community group or a third sector organisation.

We can provide a wealth of information and resources and we want to keep our services as accessible as we can, and to reach as many groups as we can.  So we think it’s fair to ask people who visit us often for their help - if they feel able to give it.

Our Sector Support service is resource intensive, but we are investing in it because we believe providing support to volunteers, voluntary and community groups, charities, social enterprises and community interest companies - has to be at the heart of what we do. If you like what we are about, and you want to help support it, our future would be much more secure.
