Press Release (27) - CELEBRATING TRUSTEES ACROSS DENBIGHSHIRE

As part of Trustees’ Week 2020 which runs from 2nd till 6th November, DVSC will be holding a series of workshops around good governance, fundraising and volunteering.

As the membership body for volunteers, voluntary and community groups, third sector organisations and social enterprises in Denbighshire, DVSC is taking part in UK wide celebrations for Trustees’ Week which will involve a number of interesting workshops for trustees and a celebratory shout out.

Lisa Williams, DVSC’s Finance and Business Manager, says: “Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. During the week we will be hosting an online workshop on the Good Governance. Our partners WCVA will also be delivering sessions on Diversifying Your Board and Young Trustees.

Trustees’ Week is also a great opportunity to say thank you to trustees. We encourage all our members to give a shout out to their trustees who give their time voluntarily and make an enormous contribution to the third sector in Denbighshire.

We would like to do a shout out to thank Sandra Donoghue, Gavin Harris, and Maun Hughes, DVSC trustees for their contribution.”

DVSC is also asking people living and working in Denbighshire to think about whether they know a trustee (or group of trustees) who have made a real difference to a voluntary and community group, organisation and the community over the last year and to nominate them for a Celebratory Trustee Shout Out.

Fel rhan o Wythnos Ymddiriedolwyr 2020 sy'n rhedeg rhwng 2il ar 6ed Tachwedd, bydd CGGSDd yn cynnal cyfres o weithdai yn ymwneud â llywodraethu da, codi arian a gwirfoddoli.

Fel y corff aelodaeth ar gyfer gwirfoddolwyr, grwpiau gwirfoddol a chymunedol, sefydliadau'r trydydd sector a mentrau cymdeithasol yn Sir Ddinbych, mae CGGSDd yn cymryd rhan yn y dathliadau Wythnos Ymddiriedolwyr sydd yn digwydd ledled y Deyrnas Unedig, a fydd yn cynnwys nifer o weithdai cyffrous i ymddiriedolwyr a dathliad dros cyfryngau cymdeithasol.

Dywedodd Lisa Williams, Rheolwr Cyllid a Busnes Cyngor Gwasanaethau Gwirfoddol Sir Ddinbych: "Mae Wythnos Ymddiriedolwyr yn ddigwyddiad blynyddol sy'n dangos y gwaith gwych mae gwirfoddolwyr yn ei wneud ac yn tynnu sylw at y cyfleoedd i bobl o bob cefndir gymryd rhan a gwneud gwahaniaeth.

Yn ystod yr wythnos byddwn yn cynnal gweithdy arlein ar Lywodraethu Da. Bydd ein partneriaid WCVA hefyd yn cyflwyno sesiynau ar Arallgyfeirio Eich Bwrdd ac Ymddiriedolwyr Ifanc.

Mae hefyd yn gyfle da i ddweud diolch enfawr wrth ymddiriedolwyr. Rydym ni'n annog ein holl aelodau i werthfawrogi eu hymddiriedolwyr sy'n rhoi eu hamser yn wirfoddol ac yn gwneud cyfraniad enfawr i'r trydydd sector yn Sir Ddinbych.

CGGSDd yw’r Cyngor Gweithredu Gwirfoddol Sirol sy’n gweithredu yn Sir Ddinbych. Ein cenhadaeth yw creu cymunedau cydnerth trwy weithredu gwirfoddol a mentrau cymdeithasol, darparu cymorth rhagorol i’n haelodau a bod yn llais dylanwadol yn Sir Ddinbych a gogledd Cymru.

CGGSDd yw’r corff aelodaeth i unigolion, gwirfoddolwyr, grwpiau gwirfoddol a chymunedol, mudiadau trydydd sector a mentrau cymdeithasol sydd am greu newid. Ein dyhead yw gwella llesiant unigolion a chymunedau trwy gyfrwng ein gwaith. Rydym ni am annog pobl i fyw’n dda, a heneiddio’n dda.

Mae CGGSDd yn gweithio’n agos gyda Chynghorau Gweithredu Gwirfoddol Sirol eraill gogledd Cymru, ac mae’n aelod o rwydwaith Cymru gyfan sydd, mewn partneriaeth gyda Chyngor Gweithredu Gwirfoddol Cymru, yn ffurfio’r bartneriaeth sy’n llunio Cefnogi Trydydd Sector Cymru.
