Wales Wellbeing Survey - Assessing the impact of coronavirus on the mental health and emotional well

[Please scroll down for Welsh]

As part of our service commitment, we share the information below - from our partner Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board - with you.

Swansea University in collaboration with the NHS in Wales are running a survey which aims to look at the impact of coronavirus on the mental health and emotional well-being of the population of Wales.

The findings of the study will help the NHS in Wales to understand the issues affecting the population and will shape support services so that they can meet the needs of the Welsh population.

Find out more information here on the website: www.wales-wellbeing.co.uk.

This research will also help the NHS in Wales to track the well-being needs of the population over the different stages of the Coronavirus pandemic. Our findings from this, and future surveys, will be available on this website in coming weeks.

The survey results will be analysed at a National, Health Board and Local Authority level and will be used to guide the NHS in Wales, and our local services, to support the well-being of the population over the coming months.

The Research Group is led by Professor Nicola Gray (Swansea University) and Professor Robert Snowden (Cardiff University) and is working in collaboration with Dr Chris O’Connor (Aneurin Bevan University Health Board).

The Survey

We would like to encourage as many people as possible over the age of 16 years living in Wales to complete the survey and it would be grateful if you could promote the survey to increase the response from North Wales.

For those individuals who would be willing to participate in the survey, or would like to gain more information about it, please click the link www.wales-wellbeing.co.uk/survey

The survey should take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete. If anyone would like to participate in the survey but would prefer a paper copy it can be downloaded from the website or individuals can phone 07737 558 980 and leave their name and address to request a copy.

(Unfortunately, the phone number is unmanned and has an answerphone that is solely used for posting surveys to people who request this).

Fel rhan o'n hymrwymiad gwasanaeth, rydyn ni'n rhannu'r wybodaeth isod - gan ein partner Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr - gyda chi.

Mae Prifysgol Abertawe mewn cydweithrediad â'r GIG yng Nghymru yn cynnal arolwg sydd â'r nod o edrych ar effaith coronafeirws ar iechyd meddwl a lles emosiynol pobl Cymru.

Bydd canfyddiadau'r astudiaeth yn helpu'r GIG yng Nghymru ddeall y materion sy'n effeithio ar y boblogaeth a bydd yn llunio gwasanaethau cymorth fel y gallant ddiwallu anghenion poblogaeth Cymru.

Dewch o hyd i ragor o wybodaeth yma ar y wefan: https://wales-wellbeing.co.uk/cy

Bydd yr ymchwil hwn hefyd yn helpu'r GIG yng Nghymru i olrhain anghenion lles y boblogaeth dros wahanol gyfnodau pandemig coronafeirws. Bydd ein canfyddiadau o hyn, ac arolygon yn y dyfodol, ar gael ar y wefan hon yn yr wythnosau nesaf.

Dadansoddir canlyniadau'r arolwg ar lefel Genedlaethol, y Bwrdd Iechyd a'r Awdurdod Lleol a chânt eu defnyddio i arwain y GIG yng Nghymru, a'n gwasanaethau lleol, wrth gefnogi lles y boblogaeth dros y misoedd nesaf.

Arweinir y grŵp ymchwil gan yr Athro.Nicola Gray (Prifysgol Abertawe) a'r Athro. Robert Snowden (Prifysgol Caerdydd) ac mae'n gweithio ar y cyd â Dr Chris O'Connor (Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Aneurin Bevan).

Yr Arolwg

Hoffem annog cymaint o bobl â phosibl dros 16 oed sy'n byw yng Nghymru i gwblhau'r arolwg a byddem yn ddiolchgar pe gallech hyrwyddo'r arolwg i gynyddu'r ymateb o Ogledd Cymru.

I'r unigolion hynny a fyddai'n barod i gymryd rhan yn yr arolwg, neu a hoffai gael mwy o wybodaeth amdano, cliciwch y ddolen www.wales-wellbeing.co.uk/surveycy

Ni ddylai'r arolwg gymryd mwy na 10-15 munud i'w gwblhau. Os hoffai unrhyw un gymryd rhan yn yr arolwg ond y byddai'n well ganddo gael copi papur gellir ei lawrlwytho o'r wefan neu gall unigolion ffonio 07737 558 980 a gadael eu henw a'u cyfeiriad i ofyn am gopi. (Yn anffodus, mae'r rhif ffôn yn ddi-griw ac mae ganddo ffôn ateb a ddefnyddir yn unig ar gyfer postio arolygon i bobl sy'n gofyn am hyn).
