DVSC is working hard to support people and communities through the #COVID19 pandemic and are working with partners to signpost people to relevant support.
We know from our engagement and conversations with people through our Community Support Service that people's wellbeing is impacted by changes to finances and economic insecurity. We also recognise how financially difficult it is at the moment for the local business community in Denbighshire who we continue to support.
Are you a small business in Denbighshire? Did you know that there is financial help being offered by Denbighshire County Council with Businesses being urged to apply for the Welsh Government’s Business Rate Grant Scheme before it closes.
More than 2,000 businesses have applied for the support, which is administered by Denbighshire County Council, and so far £24.2 million has been paid out in the county.
In April the Welsh Government announced support for businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, which Denbighshire and other local authorities across Wales are administering.
The Welsh Government has stated the Business Rates Grant Scheme is continuing to take applications up until June 30. After this date any application received will not be eligible for this grant.
Cllr Hugh Evans OBE, Leader of Denbighshire County Council and Lead Member for the Economy, said: “There has been a good response from businesses in the county to apply for this support. With the Welsh Government closing applications at the end of June, businesses need to apply for this grant as there is a clear deadline."
“We are continuing to work with ministers to ensure they are aware of the concerns of businesses in Denbighshire and by supporting our businesses now we can help reduce the impact of coronavirus on our economy and ensure we are protecting jobs in our community.”
Helen Wilkinson, Chief Executive at DVSC, says: “We believe that every grant or subsidy can help in these unprecedented times. Therefore DVSC urges local businesses not to miss the opportunity to apply for the business grant rate scheme offered by Denbighshire County Council. Remember the closing date is June 30! As an extra support for small businesses DVSC is waiving it’s partnership fees for the duration of the #COVID19 public health emergency.”
The Council is expecting the total amount of support to be provided to businesses in the county to exceed £30million.

Mae CGGSDd yn gweithio yn galed i gefnogi unigolion a chymunedau yn ystod pandemig #Cofid19 ac rydym yn gweithio gyda phartneriaid i gyfeirio pobl at gefnogaeth berthnasol.
Rydym yn gwybod o'n hymgysylltiad a'n sgyrsiau â phobl trwy ein Gwasanaeth Cymorth Cymunedol fod newidiadau i gyllid ac ansicrwydd economaidd yn effeithio ar les pobl. Rydym hefyd yn cydnabod pa mor anodd yn ariannol yw hi ar hyn o bryd i fusnesau lleol yn Sir Ddinbych ac rydym yn parhau i'w chefnogi.
Ydych chi yn fusnes bach yn Sir Ddinbych? Ydych yn gwybod fod cymorth ariannol yn cael ei gynnig gan Cyngor Sir Ddinbych gyda Busnesau yn cael eu hannog i wneud cais am Gynllun Grant Cyfradd Busnes Llywodraeth Cymru cyn iddo gau.
Mae mwy na 2,000 o fusnesau wedi gwneud cais am y gefnogaeth, a ddyrennir gan Gyngor Sir Ddinbych, a hyd yma, mae £24.2 miliwn wedi cael ei dalu gan y Sir.
Yn mis Ebrill, cyhoeddodd Llywodraeth Cymru gefnogaeth i fusnesau yn ystod pandemig y coronafeirws, ac mae Sir Ddinbych ac awdurdodau lleol eraill ar draws Cymru yn ei rhannu.
Mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi nodi y bydd y Cynllun Grant Cyfraddau Busnes yn parhau i dderbyn ceisiadau hyd at 30 Mehefin. Ar ôl y dyddiad hwn, ni fydd unrhyw geisiadau a dderbynnir yn gymwys ar gyfer y grant.
Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Hugh Evans OBE, Arweinydd Cyngor Sir Ddinbych ac Aelod Arweiniol yr Economi: “Bu ymateb dda iawn gan fusnesau ar draws y sir wrth wneud cais am y gefnogaeth hon. Gyda Llywodraeth Cymru yn cau’r broses gwneud cais ar ddiwedd mis Mehefin, mae angen i fusnesau wneud cais am y grant hwn, gan fod dyddiad cau penodol.”
“Rydym yn parhau i weithio gyda gweinidogion i sicrhau eu bod yn ymwybodol o bryderon busnesau yn Sir Ddinbych a thrwy gefnogi ein busnesau rŵan, gallwn helpu lleihau effaith coronafeirws ar ein heconomi a sicrhau ein bod yn gwarchod swyddi yn ein cymuned.”
Dywed Helen Wilkinson, Prif Weithredwr DVSC: “Credwn y gall pob grant neu gymhorthdal helpu yn yr amseroedd digynsail hyn. Felly mae CGGSDd yn annog busnesau lleol i beidio â cholli'r cyfle i wneud cais am y cynllun cyfradd grantiau busnes a gynigir gan Gyngor Sir Dinbych. Cofiwch mai'r dyddiad cau yw Mehefin 30ain! Fel cefnogaeth ychwanegol i fusnesau bach, mae DVSC yn ildio'i ffioedd partneriaeth trwy gydol yr argyfwng iechyd cyhoeddus #COFID19. "
Mae’r Cyngor yn disgwyl y bydd cyfanswm y gefnogaeth a ddarperir i fusnesau yn y sir yn pasio £30miliwn.
