Gwirfoddoli mewn Argyfwng
Ym mhob argyfwng ceir cyfleoedd – cyfleodd gwirfoddoli.
Mae’r 12 mis diwethaf wedi dod â’i gyfran o argyfyngau – p’un ai’n weithredu brys oherwydd llifogydd neu’r pandemig #COVID19 – mae pobl gyffredin wedi camu ymlaen i wneud pethau anhygoel ledled Sir Ddinbych yn ystod y flwyddyn ddiwethaf.
Wrth i raddfa lawn argyfwng iechyd cyhoeddus #COVID19 ddod i’r amlwg, gwelwyd #GwirfoddolwyrSirDdinbych yn camu ymlaen gyda chadernid, angerdd a chydnerthedd i weithredu’r er budd newid cadarnhaol. Lluniwyd grwpiau ar-lein, a daeth rhwydweithiau anffurfiol cymdogion i lenwi’r bylchau ynghyd â busnesau cymunedol lleol wrth i wasanaethau statudol a grwpiau gwirfoddol a chymunedol ymateb a threfnu i ateb yr angen brys. Pan wnaethom ni ddechrau ein Ymateb Gwirfoddolwyr Cymunedol #COVID19 gwnaethom hynny’n ymwybodol fod y pandemig #COVID19 yn debygol o fod yn farathon yn hytrach nag yn sbrint.
Yn ystod yr wythnosau cyntaf cafwyd llwyth o weithgarwch brys, cynnydd enfawr yn nifer y bobl wedi cofrestru i wirfoddoli ac yn CGGSDd gwnaeth ein tîm bach weithio’n ddiflino i sicrhau bod yr ymateb gwirfoddol yn ddiogel ac yn effeithiol a bod adnoddau’n cyrraedd y bobl mewn angen trwy gyfrwng dull #TîmSirDdinbych.
Wrth i gam gyntaf y cyfyngiadau symud gael eu llacio, a’n bod yn mynd i mewn i’r hyn sy’n teimlo ar yr wyneb o leiaf fel ail gam tawelach, mae’r pwyslais ar sefydlogi, ailadeiladu ac adfer tra’n diogelu ein hunain a’n cymunedau.
Fodd bynnag, mae ein neges ni’n parhau’r un fath.
#GwirfoddolwyrSirDdinbych mae eich sir yn PARHAU i fod eich hangen chi!
Efallai fod brig y pandemig #COVID19 wedi mynd heibio, ond byddwn yn byw gydag effeithiau #COVID19 am sawl mis i ddod. Bydd angen cymorth cymunedol gan wirfoddolwyr am wythnosau a misoedd eto.
Mae pobl fregus yn parhau i warchod eu hunain ac angen cymorth gyda siopa, presgripsiynau a chefnogaeth dros y ffôn. Mae llawer yn dioddef o unigrwydd a theimlo’n ynysig yn ystod y cyfnod cyfyngiadau symud. Mae pobl eraill yn stryglo ac yn poeni sut i gael dau ben llinyn ynghyd – wynebu gostyngiad disymwth yn eu hincwm ac yn cael trafferth ateb yr anghenion sylfaenol o brynu bwyd neu dalu biliau. Mae angen cymorth a gwasanaethau grwpiau gwirfoddol a mudiadau trydydd sector heddiw fwy nag erioed o’r blaen.
Yr wythnos hon, fel rhan o’n hymgyrch Wythnos Gwirfoddolwyr, Rydym ni’n cydweithio gyda dau fudiad yng ngogledd Cymru sy’n edrych am wirfoddolwyr yn Sir Ddinbych. Mae’r Groes Goch a Cruse Bereavement yn chwilio am wirfoddolwyr ac mae eu cyfleoedd wedi’u cofrestru ar blatfform #GwirfoddolwyrSirDdinbych, Gwirfoddoli Cymru – Sir Ddinbych, yn barod i chi wneud cais.
Mae’r Groes Goch yn chwilio am Wirfoddolwyr Cymunedol Wrth Gefn hefyd i gefnogi gyda danfon meddyginiaethau. Dilynwch y ddolen i’r cyfle hwn yma, lle cewch ddarllen mwy am y rôl a dilyn y camau syml i ymgeisio. Bydd y broses yn cymryd 10 munud ar y mwyaf, ac unwaith y byddwch wedi’i chwblhau bydd y Groes Goch yn cysylltu gyda chi’n uniongyrchol.
Oes gennych chi ddiddordeb? Cofrestrwch gyda #GwirfoddolwyrSirDdinbych nawr a dechrau mwynhau cyfleoedd rhagorol ar unwaith
Cruse Bereavement sy’n chwilio am wirfoddolwyr ar gyfer nifer o rolau, y cyfan wedi’u cofrestru ar y platfform ac mae’n hawdd i chi wneud cais am y rôl yn uniongyrchol ac yn rhwydd.
Os ydych chi wedi cofrestru gyda ni eisoes, ond heb eich lleoli eto, beth am edrych ar y cyfleoedd hyn? Os nad ydych chi wedi cofrestru gyda ni hyd yma, yna cofrestrwch ac yna cewch ddod o hyd i’r cyfle gwirfoddoli sy’n eich hysbrydoli chi!
Crisis Volunteering
In every crisis, there is an opportunity – a volunteer opportunity.
Over the last 12 months have brought their fair share of crises– whether it was emergency operations around floods or the #COVID19 pandemic – ordinary people who have stepped up to extraordinary things throughout Denbighshire in the last 12 months.
As the full scale of the #COVID19 public health emergency people became apparent, a grass roots movement for positive change saw #DenbighshireVolunteers step up with fortitude, passion and resilience. Online groups popped up, informal networks of neighbours filled the gaps as did local community business as statutory services and established voluntary groups and community organisations responded and organised to meet urgent need. When we mobilised our #COVID19 Volunteer Community Response we did so aware that the #COVID19 pandemic was likely to be a marathon not a sprint.
In the first few weeks there was a frenzy of emergency activity, a huge spike in the numbers of people registering to volunteer and at DVSC our small team worked tirelessly to ensure that the volunteer response was safe, effective and that resources got to people in need with a #TeamDenbighshire approach.
As we leave the first phase of lockdown, and enter what on the surface at least feels like a calmer second phase the focus is on stabilising, rebuilding, and recovering whilst protecting ourselves and our communities.
However, our message remains the same.
#DenbighshireVolunteers Your County STILL Needs You!
The peak of the #COVID19 pandemic might be over, but we will be living with the impact of #COVID19 for many months to come. Volunteer led community support will be needed for weeks and months ahead.
Vulnerable people are still shielding and need support for shopping, prescriptions and telephone support. Many are suffering from lockdown loneliness and isolation. Other people are struggling and worrying about how to make ends meet – facing sudden drops in income, and struggling to meet basic needs for food or pay bills. The support and services of voluntary groups and third sector organisations are needed today more than ever before.
This week as part of our Volunteers Week campaign, we have joined forces with two North Wales organisations who are looking for volunteers in Denbighshire County, both the Red Cross and Cruse Bereavement are searching for volunteers and their opportunities are registered on #DenbighshireVolunteers, Volunteering Wales – Denbighshire platform, ready for you to apply.
The British Red Cross are also looking for Community Reserve Volunteers to support for medication delivery. Please follow the link to this opportunity here, where you can read more about the role and follow the simple steps to apply. The process takes no more than 10 minutes and once complete you will be contacted by British Red Cross directly
