Job opportunities - Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych


Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych are currently advertising two part-time project officer posts, for a community development project.

The Role:

The ability to communicate well through the medium of Welsh and English is essential. These are fixed-term contracts ending 31 December 2019.

The posts are advertised as 20 hours per week each, but may consider alternative hours.

The Project:

The purpose of the project, is to establish and support some new voluntary community groups in Denbighshire. These groups will develop and deliver a programme of Welsh language or bilingual activities for the benefit of local residents. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently on their own initiative, and they will have experience of training and / or co-ordinating volunteers. The office base will be in Denbigh, but much of the work would be out in the communities, and hours would be flexible.

The project is partly funded by the Rural Development programme for Wales 2014-2020, supported by Welsh Government and European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
