Action on Elder Abuse Cymru works exclusively on the issue of abuse of older people. We raise awareness, provide training and campaign to protect older people from abuse at the hands of someone in whom there is an expectation of trust.
We are holding our annual conference in St. Asaph on Tuesday 5th March 2019. It is entitled 'Elder Abuse is a Crime - Is Wales doing enough to protect and support victims?' Following two successful conferences in Cardiff this is our first in North Wales. We will be discussing how the criminal justice agencies respond to older victims of crime, the support older victims receive in Wales and what more can be done to protect older people.
