DVSC is looking for a Wellbeing Lead to join our team and shape the development of DVSC’s Wellbeing portfolio.
The post holder will be a key member of DVSC’s management team and will play a key role in helping us to implement our vision, mission and values, by promoting individual and community wellbeing and by ensuring we demonstrate the impact and social value of the work we do.
The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge, experience and an interest in the third sector, community development, wellbeing, fundraising, project development, and line management.
You should have an understanding of co-production and human centred service design and will be excited to creatively develop new ways of working with individuals, and communities (including local businesses) to develop awareness about wellbeing, and the challenges of dementia in particular.
The postholder will support DVSC to act in the role of community enabler empowering individuals, DVSC members, public service partners, local business and the wider community positioning DVSC as a Community Hub and Wellbeing point in Ruthin with influence county wide.
The postholder will be a member of DVSC’s management team and will lead the Wellbeing team, and is expected to play a lead role in the development of DVSC’s Sector Support service and corporate goals.
You will work closely with the Chief Executive, and all members of #teamDVSC including the Marketing and Engagement Officer, Impact and Evaluation Officer, and other Senior leads to support DVSC in the next step of its enterprise development.
In your role you will ensure that DVSC’s Wellbeing service is proactive and meets programme targets. You will empower individuals and communities and support them in accessing the resources, advice and support they need to enable them to shape and develop themselves and their communities (in line with the Welsh Government’s well-being agenda), and that of our public service partners.
In addition to the services we provide to support our members, and the communities we work with, we are passionate about sharing the lessons we learn with government, and our stakeholders. We want to help drive positive and sustainable social change.
This is a diverse and interesting role and you will need to demonstrate that you are an effective team player with a range of attributes including the ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
We are looking for someone who is driven to ensure we make a difference to people's lives and who will play a key role in developing DVSC’s role as a Wellbeing Hub in the County and a Knowledge Centre for Social Prescribing in Denbighshire.
