The post holder will play a key role in helping us to implement our vision, mission and values, and by ensuring we demonstrate the impact and social value of the work we do.

The successful candidate will ideally have a knowledge, experience and an interest in impact measurement and evaluation, specific to the third sector, and will be experienced in using a broad range of qualitative and quantitative tools and methods for analysis (including digital tools, and multi-media).

You should have an understanding of coproduction and human centered service design and will be excited to creatively develop new ways of collecting impact data and measuring the effectiveness of DVSC services, and programmes. The postholder will apply analytical and technical skills to ‘real life’ work and practical situations.

In addition to the services we provide to support our members, and the communities we work with, we are passionate about sharing the lessons we learn with government, and our stakeholders. We want to help drive positive and sustainable social change.

This is a diverse and interesting role which will draw on your experience of social research or evaluation, and your knowledge of impact and social value, to deliver high quality and robust insight into our business and member services.

You will need to demonstrate that you are an effective team player with a range of attributes including the ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders; great IT literacy, including the ability to use software to analyse and interpret data; to draw on a range of sources of information (qualitative and quantitative) and to communicate the findings clearly to a range of audiences.

Measuring and monitoring the outcomes for our stakeholders is vital to ensuring that our services achieve what we set out to deliver. The Impact and Evaluation Officer is responsible for collecting, checking and analysing programme and service data and making recommendations for improvements.

We are looking for someone who is driven to ensure we make a difference to people's lives.
