Draft Working Denbighshire Strategy for Consultation
Tell us what you think about the new approach to tackling poverty through employment across Denbighshire…….Denbighshire County Council are leading the development, implementation and measurement of an overarching employability strategy for Denbighshire.
WHAT ARE WE TRYING TO DO?
Our vision is to reduce poverty by enabling people to access a network of services that supports them in their journey into or towards employment, and to maintain their position or progress once in employment.
In the language of the economist our work can be grouped under two headings:
Improving the quality and quantity of the labour supply
Identifying demand for labour and connecting this to labour supply
These interventions amount to a virtuous circle that lifts individuals out of poverty and promotes local economic growth
