Update: The National Lottery Community Fund
I am writing to share some news about how we are moving forward with our strategy People in the Lead. As you know we have been developing our approach since 2015. During this time we have made many successful changes to the way we work; we have also learnt lots; and gained many fellow travellers on this journey.
Over the last few months we’ve been reflecting on what we’ve learnt and heard from our colleagues, customers and stakeholders. We think that now is the right time for us to make some small changes to our strategic framework and how we describe ourselves so that we can be clearer about our purpose and embed what we have learned.
The first change you will see is that we will be describing the overall purpose of our work as:
We support people and communities to thrive
The latest step in this journey has been to look at how we can visibly demonstrate that The National Lottery and the communities we support are at the heart of what we do.
As a result, the Board has approved a new name and visual identity for the Fund. From the end of January 2019 we will be known as:
The National Lottery Community Fund
Alongside our new name we will also implement a new visual identity at the end of January. We aim to keep the cost of this change minimal and we will of course remain the Big Lottery Fund in statute.
As ever, I want to thank you for your support. If you have any questions or would like any more information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
With very best wishes and much excitement as we continue to take People in the Lead forward.
John Rose
