"Fair Work: A Route Out of Poverty?" Conference
The Bevan Foundation is delighted to invite you attend it's conference "Fair Work: A Route Out of Poverty?"
Work is the most important route out of poverty for working-age people, but now more than ever, it is not a guaranteed one. With more than one in four workers in Wales paid less than the living wage, poor quality jobs hold back individuals from reaching their potential and keep the Welsh economy in the slow lane. With clear links between job quality and productivity, ‘fair work’ is now firmly on policy makers’ agendas. But there remains uncertainty about what ‘fair work’ means. This event will shine a spotlight on this issue, taking a closer look at who is affected by unfair work and some of the solutions that can create good working lives that build wellbeing and prosperity for all.
With contributions across the public, private and third sectors, presentations, panel debate and networking, the Bevan Foundation, together with Business in the Community Cymru would like you to join them for what should be a highly informative and valuable day.
The conference will be a joint event between Business in the Community and the Bevan Foundation and will be held in Cardiff on Monday, December 3rd.
