Open Doors (2) - Celebrating Age Week with Vale of Clwyd Mind

Open Doors runs every Friday at our offices in the Naylor Leyland Centre, Well Street, Ruthin; 1PM-3PM. All are welcome to pop in. The club is volunteer led, and is a support network to meet new people and learn new skills.

As part of Celebrating Age Week on Friday 28th September Open Doors teamed up with Vale of Clwyd MIND who delivered a taster session of their My Generation project.

At Fridays session, as well as some mindfulness, our members joined in with some drumming led by Darren Jones from General Drums Rhythm Workshops.

My Generation; funded by Welsh Government; is an 8 week course to help improve mental wellbeing; through giving people over 50 tips/advice on how to deal with difficult times. Each session contains some wellbeing information and a fun interactive activity ranging from photography to creative writing and drumming with much more in between.

Currently My Generation is running at the Eirianfa Centre in Denbigh however MIND are looking at running a second set of workshops in Ruthin. For further information and to book a place contact Jenny Bolton on 01745 812461
