Hate Crime Awareness Week 2018
The Welsh Government has again made funding available through the Welsh Police and Crime Commissioners to promote Hate Crime Awareness Week in October 2018 (13th to 20th October).
There is funding available to groups and organisations to carry out awareness raising activities and events during and around Hate Crime Awareness Week.
In the past we have funded many different types of projects, these include
sporting events,
children’s craft workshops,
community based coffee mornings,
art workshops,
seminars,
choirs, and many other activities as a means to get the hate crime message across.
Anyone who has a project in mind and would like to be considered for funding should complete the application form.
A short application process has been established to ensure fairness. Forms should be returned to opcc@nthwales.pnn.police.uk. The closing date will be Friday 7th September 2018.
The OPCC working with PACT (the Police and Community Trust) has established a transparent and fair process for applications, including a panel to take the final decisions on the allocation of funds.
We are keen for small local groups who are raising awareness of hate crime, to get involved. This year our emphasis is on protecting victims.
If you wish to apply for funds please complete the form and return to Elizabeth Ward at the email address given above or if you have any further queries telephone 01492 804071 or read the guidance notes here
