Find out about the Third Sector Influencing Group and make your voice heard
The Third Sector Influencing Group is part of DVSC's commitment to influencing and engaging our public service partners thanks to core funding from Welsh Government, as part of Third Sector Support Wales. The members of the Group can be found here along with the terms of reference.
DVSC facilitates this engagement and influencing on behalf of the third sector and we invited expressions of interest for membership of the Group over a four month period from January 2018. We have successfully filled 5 positions as network leads.
We are still accepting Expressions of Interest for the following networks:
- Welsh Language and Equalities
- Housing and Regeneration
- Sustainable Development
To make an Expression of Interest in one of the above network lead positions please complete the Expression of Interest form, which can be found by clicking here, and send to office@dvsc.co.uk
For further information and informal discussions contact me, helenw@dvsc.co.uk or call on 07713 997 075 and I'd be happy to chat further.
The Third Sector Compact between DVSC and Denbighshire County Council allows for regular contact between network leads from the third sector in Denbighshire to influence and engage Denbighshire County Council on sector interests, and our shared principles and objectives.
The group is scheduled to meet with Council representatives three times in this financial year (April 2017-March 2018) with the aim of engaging the Council on key strategic priorities of mutual interest and concern. Our inaugural meeting with the Council is taking place today on Monday 23 July.
However we see that the reach and influence of this Group and the sector in Denbighshire can go much wider and involve other stakeholders including Welsh Government, the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, to name just a few.
There are lots of ways in which you can engage with us and make your views known. This information gives you a snapshot of the different ways in which you can get involved. But if you want to be really plugged in become a DVSC member and take part in the Membership Forum and become part of a movement for change in Denbighshire.
You can find out more about our engagement activities here. We provide news updates on our website and social media so please do subscribe for news updates, follow us on twitter and like us on Facebook.
