Volunteer Story (21) - Pat

Pat is 60 years old and started training with Citizens Advice Denbighshire in as an Adviser some years ago. She was an enthusiastic volunteer and had gained considerable experience with us. At that time Pat was in a long term relationship and did not need employment.

When this situation changed last year Pat needed to find employment  to support herself.

Pat  was able to gain employment almost immediately in a full time position. She credits this as being a result of her experience working as a volunteer with Citizens Advice Denbighshire and the experience gained.

“I never expected my life to change so quickly, Citizens Advice Denbighshire has meant that my skills were kept up and have actually increased.

This has given me the confidence to apply for a job which I now have!”
